On TikTok, the ad that works usually looks like a post, and the campaign that scales usually has the cleanest conversion data. John Williams manages TikTok Ads with a deduplicated Pixel and Events API setup, a steady supply of creator content through Spark Ads, and GMV Max for brands selling through TikTok Shop.
Not a fit if the only creative available is polished brand film. TikTok rewards native-looking video, and we'll say so before you spend.
TikTok recommends both channels so one keeps reporting when the other fails. When you send the same event
both ways, you must pass the same event_id. TikTok deduplicates Pixel-to-Pixel and API-to-API
duplicates within 48 hours, and merges Pixel and API copies that arrive after 5 minutes and within 48 hours,
keeping the first event it received (About event deduplication). In Events Manager, a healthy setup shows a large "Server & Browser" count.
TikTok has unified manual and Smart+ campaign creation into one flow with full, partial, or manual control for Traffic, Sales, Lead Generation, and App Promotion objectives. Each ad now acts like an asset group with its own URL, product set, and up to 50 creatives (Smart+ upgraded experience). We automate targeting and placements early, and keep manual control over the conversion event, the offer, and any region with different pricing.
Spark Ads run organic posts, yours or a creator's, as ads with their likes and comments intact. Creators authorize a post with a code valid for 7, 30, 60, or 365 days, and an ad account can hold up to 10,000 Spark Ads (Spark Ads for Smart+). We match the authorization length to the flight so ads don't stop mid-campaign.
Since July 2025, GMV Max has been the default and only supported campaign type for TikTok Shop ads. Legacy Product, Video, and LIVE Shopping Ads can't be created, edited, or duplicated for a Shop destination, though existing ones keep running (GMV Max migration). We set ROI targets from product margin, not from the account average.
Weekly: spend, TikTok-reported results, backend results, and the gap. Monthly: blended acquisition cost across channels, so budget follows real customers.
event_id is missing on one side or
generated differently on each.
On TikTok, targeting is mostly automated, so creative is where you still have control, and it wears out fast. Our system treats creative as a production line.
TikTok Shop has its own rules, and they change how we plan:
Context for the budget conversation: IAB projects US social video ad spend to grow 13% in 2026, faster than CTV (IAB). And on ownership: since January 2026, US user data and trust and safety sit with the TikTok USDS Joint Venture, while TikTok's global US entities still run advertising and ecommerce (TikTok Newsroom).
TikTok ads management is a flat monthly fee, quoted after we've audited your ad account and signal setup. It depends on creative volume and whether TikTok Shop is in scope. Per the pricing page, nothing at Ahmeego is billed as a percentage of spend and there are no long contracts. Events API fixes can be scoped as a one-time project.
