Troubleshooting Buddy

Last updated: 2026-10-18

My message didn't send, or Buddy shows "Reconnecting…"

Buddy confirms every message the moment it arrives. If that confirmation doesn't come back within about 8 seconds, the app reconnects and resends your message over a backup connection, and shows a Reconnecting… banner while it does. Usually it recovers on its own within a few seconds.

If the banner stays up:

  1. Check your internet connection, and turn off any VPN or ad blocker for ahmeego.com.
  2. Reload the page (or close and reopen the app). Your conversation history is kept.
  3. Check the status page.
  4. If it still fails, tell us roughly when it happened so we can find it in the logs.

Buddy is taking a long time

Simple answers usually take 10 to 30 seconds. Audits and multi-step requests pull several Google Ads reports and can take a few minutes. If you've changed your mind, press Stop; see what that costs in Approvals & safety.

The reply came back empty or cut off

Ask Buddy to continue, or repeat the request. Very long tasks have a time limit per turn; anything already staged for approval stays staged. If it keeps happening on the same request, break it into smaller steps (one campaign or one date range at a time).

"Not enough credits"

Buddy first tries a cheaper model. If that still costs more than your balance, it tells you how many credits it needs and offers a top-up. See Credits & billing.

"Token failed" or "Google Ads not connected"

Your Google authorization has ended. That happens after 90 days, or sooner if you changed your Google password, removed the app's access in your Google Account, or a Workspace admin blocked third-party apps. Sign out of Buddy and sign in again.

"Permission denied" for an account

The Google login you signed in with can't reach that customer ID. Check you're signed in with the right Google account, and that it has access in Google Ads under Admin → Access and security (directly or through a manager account). See Connect Google Ads.

A change failed

Buddy reports what succeeded and what failed, with Google's reason for each failure, such as a policy disapproval, a duplicate keyword, or a budget below the minimum. Operations reported as failed were not applied. Ask Buddy to explain the error and stage a corrected version.
