What credits pay for

Each Buddy reply runs on an AI model, and the credits it costs depend on the model and how much work the reply takes. A short answer costs little; a full audit that pulls many reports costs more. Current per-model rates are on the pricing page, and your balance is shown in the app.

Discarding staged changes is free, and a reply stopped before it did anything costs nothing.

Running low

If your preferred model costs more than your remaining balance, Buddy switches to a cheaper model for that reply instead of refusing. If even that isn't affordable, Buddy tells you how many credits the reply needs and how many you have, with a button to top up.

Credit packs and Buddy Pro

Packs are one-time purchases that start at $1.99 for 100 credits, with larger packs giving more credits per dollar. Buddy Pro is $9.99 a month and includes 500 credits each month, the option to use your own AI API keys, and priority model access. Full details are on the pricing page.

Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. In the iOS and Android apps, purchases go through Apple or Google and appear on that store's receipt.

Managing or cancelling Pro

If you subscribed on the website, open the Stripe billing portal to update your card, see invoices, or cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro and its monthly credits stay active until the end of the period you already paid for.

If you subscribed in the iOS or Android app, cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings instead. You can also email [email protected] and we will cancel it for you.

Problems with a charge

If a reply failed but still used credits, or a purchase didn't arrive, contact us with the email you sign in with and roughly when it happened. Every credit movement is logged, so we can see what happened and correct it. App store purchases are refunded through Apple or Google under their policies.
